Function: Manager - Medical Insurance

Responsibilities:-

  1. Authorize and release all Group & individual Medical quotations for new business, renewals and Endorsements.
  2. Receive quotation requests, quote online or forward to the reinsure depending upon size of the scheme.
  3. To ensure that proper underwriting guidelines are being followed, the treaty conditions are met, for schemes which are placed with SCOR, Munich Re & GIC.
  4. To ensure that the relevant details are sent to the reinsures and approval sought and obtained for any deviations from treaty.
  5. To authorize endorsements and alterations to the Group & Individual Medical policies, Issuing approving debit/credit notes and sending for the approval with due recommendations after thorough checking.
  6. To ensure that Premium bordereaux are prepared each month and ensure reconsolidation with finance figures.
  7. Corresponding with the Brokers and clients regarding queries.
  8. Corresponding with the Reinsure
  9.  Making positive underwriting results for the department

Claims:

  • Receive process and settle all group & individual Medical reimbursements and network claims
  • Process, Verify and recommend for settlements or for rejection with brief claims notes for all group & Individual medical claims.
  • To ensure that reinsurer's approval is received for all claims exceeding our referral limit.
  • Increasing the customer satisfaction levels in respect of all claims settlements for the department.
  • Attending to all customers complaints and resolving them in the best possible manner quality services.
  • Assisting any legal disputes and referring disputed cases to legal department

Qualification & Experience

  • Graduate, Medical degree will be an added advantage
  • The candidate should have minimum 10 years experienced in medical underwriting and claims handling out which 3 years as a senior position in the UAE
  • Hands on experience in medical under writing and claims handling
  • Able to work under pressure and a team player

Function: - Asst. Manager – Medical Claims

Responsibilities:-

  • Supervise & Manage the claims department team
  • Be responsible for settling reimbursement and network claims
  • Organize and ensure smooth flow of work procedure & systems
  • Ensure top quality service to customers
  • Comply with the regulators
  • Prepare reports for management, pertaining to claims and loss ratios
  • Ensure that claim documents are received from client/broker – Checked and forwarded to respective TPAs for processing.
  • Liaise with the accounts department for the cheque preparation
  • Ensure that records for reimbursement claims processed and paid are maintained
  • Handle queries from brokers / clients / TPAs/Reinsurers pertaining to claims, within TATs
  • Prepare loss ratio reports for management review
  • Evaluate claims from all TPAs
  • Generate and Review claims reports from all TPAs
  • Evaluate & Process network claims received from all HMO providers
  • Do a regular audit for TPA claims and suggest measures for control and improvement of the loss ratio for the department.
  • Ensure Filing of all reimbursement claims are done regularly
  • Supervise & train junior staff and guide them as required
  • Check all documents processed by junior staff thoroughly
  • Ensure high levels of customer service
  • Upload the relevant reports on respective regulatory sites within timelines
  • Handle complaints pertaining to claims, resolve and report the same on the complaints tracker. Maintain and send the log to regulators as per timelines

Experience :-

Minium 6 years of experience in the similar field

Qualification :-

Graduate, Medical degree will be an added advantage
