Function: Underwriting Manager – Non Motor Insurance
To support the General Management in implementing the strategy related to Non-Motor Underwriting and Reinsurance.
Responsible for the management of non-motor underwriting Department ; Responsible for the management of reinsurance treaty for all classes of business.
Comply with General Management directions related to Non-Motor Underwriting and Reinsurance in implementing business strategies to achieve the desired results by providing cordial environment for sales and developing relationship with other insurance companies for inward business.
Manage, guide and motivate Non-Motor Underwriting Team in implementing the overall strategy of the company.
Ensure effective implementation of underwriting procedures & practice to ensure the adequate bottom line in respect of Non Motor Department by analyzing and accepting risk perceived to be good.
Ensure smooth functioning of Operations department for Production of Quotations/Policies/Endorsements within the agreed timeline
Ensure the documents are signed based on authority levels and released on agreed TAT
Formulating Risk Management Program in liaison with Risk Engineer and effective implementation of the same
New Product Development
Analyze Loss Ratio and provide MI to Management on the same
Treaty Profiling & working on Treaty Renewals
Development of FAC market in coordination with CTO To provide necessary MI to the Management related to the assigned functions.
Achieve the required growth with the good quality of portfolios. Ensure to endeavor achieving the bottom line budget set for the year.
Continuing implementation of time Management and applying 2 eyes principle for corporate governance.
Implementing Profit Center concept within the department. Costs to budgets and LR to Premiums. Encourage business development efforts of Sales Team with the required technical support in meeting Brokers / Customers.
Nurture cordial relationships with the Insurance Market to achieve desired growth on Inward business.
Achieve and implement effective delegation of responsibilities across the team ensuring internal control and risk management.
Draft the department procedures, TAT and flow charts for the department and implement the same once approved.
Reporting any major issues on time to higher management.
1. Graduate with excellent written and verbal communication in English. Arabic language knowledge will be an added advantage
2. Must have valid UAE Driving License. Experience: - Minimum 10+ Years of experience in the similar field
