Dubai National Insurance and Reinsurance (DNIR) believes that employees are the major asset of any organization and our group life cover being the part of an employee benefits scheme, protects the employee from an unfortunate event by compensating him or his family.

Group life and personal accident covers mainly death due to any cause, which can be extended to include Temporary Total Disability (TTD), Permanent Total Disability (PTD) and Medical Expenses including loss of wages, Repatriation of mortal remains to home country and many other optional benefits. Our Group Life Product (GL) is designed for employee/employer groups with a minimum of 11 employees.

This product can be tailor made as per the requirement of each group to cover required limits and extended covers.

Other optional benefits can be covered in addition to Death benefit which are:

  • Double Accidental Death benefit
    In the event of death due to an accident an additional sum assured equal to the basic sum assured shall be paid.
  • Permanent Total Disability due to accident
    A lump sum benefit equal to the sum assured shall be paid should an insured employee becomes totally and permanently disabled due to an accident.
  • Permanent Total Disability due to sickness
    A lump sum benefit equal to the sum assured shall be paid should an insured employee becomes totally and permanently disabled due to a sickness.
  • Permanent Partial Disability due to accident
    In case of loss by physical separation of any limb or member of the body or total and Irrecoverable loss of sight as set out in the scale of benefits, a percentage of sum assured as per scale shall be paid should an insured employee becomes permanently and partially disabled due to an accident.
  • Permanent Partial Disability due to sickness
    In case of loss by physical separation of any limb or member of the body or total and Irrecoverable loss of sight as set out in the scale of benefits, a percentage of sum assured as per scale shall be paid should an insured employee becomes permanently and partially disabled due to a sickness.
  • Temporary Total disability due to accident
    In the event of the insured employee becoming totally unable to follow his normal occupation as a result of continuous and total disablement due to accident. The salary up to a maximum of 52/104 weeks shall be paid as long as such disability continues.
  • Temporary Total disability due to sickness
    In the event of the insured employee becoming totally unable to follow his normal occupation as a result of continuous and total disablement due to sickness. The salary up to a maximum of 52/104 weeks shall be paid as long as such disability continues, subject to a waiting period of 7/14 days.
  • Accidental Medical Expense
    In the event of the Medical Expenses incurred due to an Accident, the insured employee shall be paid the cost of the expense. This benefit is limited to a maximum amount. This amount can be selected by the employer at the time of inception of the policy.
  • Repatriation of mortal remains to home country
    In the event of death, the Repatriation Costs of the body or mortal remains to the home country of any deceased employee including the expenses of the accompanying person shall be paid. This benefit is limited to a maximum amount. This amount can be selected by the employer at the time of inception of the policy.
